Abstract
Fashion photography and street photography were concluded with Human Figure and its physical form from the beginning. people are one of the main elements present on the street, Fashion photography also needs Human Figures(Models) to accomplish its best visual form.
The first photo which considered Fashion photography was taken in 1856 and the first photo which considered street photography was taken in 1851 as you can see they started in the same decade and are developing until today, nowadays we can see that their boundaries somehow become closer on some levels, this study investigate the similarities and differences between these two genres of photography and uses Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh, Tim Walker, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, and Vivan Maier’s works as case studies to give a better view and explanation of the impact of models on these genres of photography.
